Daniel Craig born as Daniel Wroughton Craig on March 2nd 1968 in Chester, England is an amazing English actor who won several awards for his performances. Daniel Craig achieved international fame with his starring role as James Bond in "Casino Royale".

Daniel Craig was born to an art teacher Olivia nee Williams and Timothy John Wroughton Craig, who worked as midshipman in Merchant Navy. Daniel Craig grew up in Wirral, Merseyside; and studied at Hilbre High School and Calday Grange Grammar School in West Kirby. Daniel was a rugby player who played for Hoylake Rugby Club. At sixteen, Craig moved to London to join National Youth Theater and graduated in 1991 from Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Soon after his graduation Daniel Craig made his acting debut with "The Power of One" {1992} and has since appeared in several movies and television episodes such as "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles: Daredevils of the Desert" {1992}, "Sharpe's Eagle" {1993}, "Our Friends in the North" {1996}, "Love and Rage" {1998} and so on. It was in 2001 Daniel Craig got a breakthrough role in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider {2001} starring opposite Angelina Jolie. His wonderful performance as Angelina Jolie's love interest brought him more roles in Hollywood movies such as "Road to Perdition" {2002} with Tom Hanks, "The Mother" {2003} with Anne Reid, Layer Cake {2004} with Sienna Miller, and Steven Spielberg's "Munich" {2005}.

In late 2005, Daniel Craig clinched a three-film deal with EON productions to play James Bond. As such, Daniel Craig was catapulted to the dizzying heights of stardom internationally with his James Bond role in "Casino Royale" {2006} that became a big blockbuster movie grossing over US$593 million worldwide. Daniel Craig's performance as James Bond was critically acclaimed and was nominated for several awards including BAFTA, Saturn, National Movie Awards and winning an Empire Award. Critics too were all praise and hailed him as the true embodiment of Ian Fleming's James Bond, "cold, calculated, ironic, and brutal". Daniel Craig's next James Bond movie supposed to be the 22nd in the James Bond series of movies, "Quantum of Solace" is soon to hit the theaters worldwide in October of 2008.
